IHUN urologists perform complex state of the art endoscopic, open, and laparoscopic procedures for different urologic conditions:
Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL): Kidney stones are removed via a small incision in the patient’s back through which the scope is passed into the kidney. Subsequently, the stones are fragmented and removed.
Ureteroscopy (URS): for stones located in the ureter- or even in the kidney- a scope is passed via the urethra into the bladder then up through the ureter. When the stone is reached and visualized on the scope’s screen, it’s fragmented using laser energy and removed.
Surgery (Open and Laparoscopic): IHUN surgeons perform a wide array of open and laparoscopic surgeries for different complex urologic conditions. This includes urologic oncology, reconstructive urology, and kidneys transplantation.
Transurethral Prostate Surgery (Resection, vaporization and enucleation): ): IHUN urologists are perform all transurethral prostatectomy techniques for men with benign enlargement of the prostate. This includes conventional transurethral resection and transurethral prostatectomy using plasma or laser.
